Nursery admissions and fees

Nursery admissions are managed by Thameside Primary School and we follow Oxfordshire County Council’s guidelines on admissions arrangements.

Places are available for children to start in the term following their third birthday.

Children are eligible for a minimum of fifteen hours of funded provision per week, with working parents able to claim extra hours of funded provision subject to availability.  

Children are usually eligible for the funding in the term after they turn 3 years old. More details can be found here:

Extra paid sessions can also be booked for £16.59 per 3 hour session from 6th January 2026. 

Timings for our Nursery are:

• Morning session: 8.45am - 11.45am

• Afternoon session (starting with lunch): 11.45am - 2.45pm  (with the option of extended day at the cost of £2.50 until 3.15pm)

• Places are offered for 38 weeks per year
• A part-time place consists of 15 hours per week (an offer will be made for either a morning or an afternoon place).
• We offer places as a combination of part and full-time places for 3 and 4-year-olds as a mixture of 15 hour-per week places and 30 hour-per week places, depending on age and eligibility.
• The admission number is 26 full time equivalent places.

We provide every new family with a welcome pack as well as a number of transition visits (including, stay and play and home visits) to ensure that your child settles in well to our school.
